Jacob came out to give me a estimate for relocating my return on a furnace. I should be writing a review on that, but he hasn't been able to do it yet because he's been back out to our house twice for emergency repairs (even on Sunday at my last minute request!) on my poorly installed furnaces. His knowledge of proper techniques and the latest HVAC technology is stellar. OCD HVAC and Jacob are the real deal. Skilled, ethical, friendly, up front about costs. We got three estimates for replacing our heat-pump. The other two companies spent a few minutes looking at when we had, wrote up a quote and were out the door. Jacob spent over an hour running a number of tests on our current equipment to determine what we actually needed, mapped the entire system and then explained everything to me. He provided me with the "Manual J report" regarding what our space actually needs for HVAC, which in my understanding is what every contractor should be doing. He and his crew spent a couple days getting the new system installed. Quiet, no mess, no problems. He showed me all that was done and walked me through how to operate the new equipment. New system cools great and I am confident that it was installed correctly. He understands HVAC, he taught it at Virginia Western, and has a passion for doing high quality work. Best choice in the region for HVAC.

Most HVAC systems are never evaluated as a whole. Airflow, static pressure, ductwork, installation quality, system setup, and electrical protection all affect comfort, efficiency, reliability, and equipment life.
The OCD Performance Evaluation helps homeowners understand how well their system is actually performing by calculating delivered capacity and delivered efficiency — not just relying on equipment ratings or guesswork.
